Tasik Kenyir
A large part of Kenyir State Park is relatively still in its natural state. With a size area of 30,000 ha, Kenyir State Park has a diverse array of flora and fauna including the small and big plants, mammals, birds and fish. In addition, Kenyir State Park is also part of the Kenyir catchment area which is as flood mitigation, erosion prevention, and watershed services for clean drinking water.
The Park is important for endangered species such as the Malayan Tiger, the Malayan Tapir, the Sun Bear, the Asian Elephant and Panther. A total of 95 mammal species have recorded here including six species of primate. So far, 36 species of reptiles and a similar number of amphibians have been found. New species records continue to be made.
